The Ministry of Education in Collaboration with UNICEF Request For Expressions of Interest Consultant - Study on Out of School Children

Guyana on Friday began crafting a new National Policy on Youth Empowerment and a Strategic Plan that seeks to improve the conditions of young people over the next five years as well as help bridge the decades-old racial-political divide.

The Presidential Advisor on Youth Empowerment, Aubrey Norton said government envisages that the youth policy and strategic plan should be in place by November for Cabinet approval.

Improvement of Physical Facilities/Infrastructure

Children are likely to learn better when in safe, comfortable buildings with sufficient space and adequate facilities. Good physical facilities also affect parents’ attitude to the school and teachers’ morale in a positive manner. Improving physical facilities is therefore a key factor in improving education delivery.
