Both present and continuing students, who are children of employees of the Guyana Oil Company (GuyOil) were awarded for their outstanding academic performance at the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) and Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) exams last Friday.The presentation ceremony was held at the Kitty Service Station Boardroom in the presence of the board of directors, senior managers and general employees.

Seventeen year old Joshua Indarjit of Skeldon Line Path Secondary School earned 17 Grade Ones, effectively giving him a spot among the country’s top performers and the top student in Region 6.news 20160817He was happy at the news of his performance, noting that he wanted to challenge himself by pursuing the maximum amount of subjects offered by the school. “I am a science student but I also believe in diversifying, so if one area does not work out there’s always another area to follow”, he said.
