The Ministry of Education wishes to inform the public that schools remain open. The MoE is advising persons to take the necessary precautions as advised by the World Health Organization (WHO), Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, UNICEF and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in relation to the COVID-19 also known as the Coronavirus. The Education Ministry will continue to update the public.

The Ministry of Education wishes to advise that four students from secondary schools in Berbice who were injured during an attack on a David G School bus at Bushlot Village West Coast Berbice yesterday, have all been discharged. The four students received injuries and were treated at the Fort Wellington Hospital.
