Hon. Nicolette Henry, Minister of Education appeared on Ch 93.1 Real FM informing listeners of her Government's many plans to further the advancement of the Education Sector and also on budget 2018

news 20171124 4Aimed at informing listeners of her Government's many plans to further the advancement of the Education Sector and also on budget 2018 Hon. Nicolette Henry, Minister of Education appeared on Ch 93.1 Real FM this morning.
During her interface with host Maxwell Thom, the Minister spoke of efforts being made to reduce the disparity of education delivery between the nation's capital and the Hinterland.

Minister Henry also shared a broad-based focus on her plans for education development which includes initiatives such as ICT, Technical and Vocational Education, Special Education Needs, providing mobile clinics that offer psychosocial intervention in 2018 as well as working to close a number of gaps.news 20171124 5
She recognised that there are shortcomings in the delivery of Education through the addressing of evidence gathered for intervention.
The minister also spoke of the need for parental involvement through continued engagements so as to have their input with the end goal of them understanding their role in their child/ children educational development.
The importance of STEM was also shared as an important focus particularly at the Secondary level. The minister also announced that the Kato School should be set for opening by year-end.
