Over 2500 UG students to graduate virtually

A series of historic virtual graduation exercises that are expected to be held by the University of Guyana (UG) will commence next Friday, March 19, 2021, via Zoom. A total of 2500 graduands from 50 different disciplines will graduate from the university’s Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, and Tain, Berbice campuses.
As they welcomed the recent arrival of COVID-19 vaccines, the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Guyana Teachers Union (GTU) in a joint press statement issued yesterday, announced that they will be embarking on a sensitization campaign to better inform teachers about the COVID vaccination.

Education Minister Priya Manickchand announced this morning that the NGSA exams will take place on the 4th and 5th August. The examination is usually hosted in March and April.
