Guyana Prize for Literature launched

The University of Guyana Faculty of Education and Humanities has launched the annual Guyana Prize for Literature, and is seeking entries from writers in Guyana and across the Region.
Even as the education sector basks in the glory of attaining universal primary education and nears the ambitious goal of universal secondary education, there yet remains a crucial need for particular emphasis to be directed to those children within the system who suffer from various forms of disabilities.
Although, from all indications Guyana has been able to achieve respectable rates at the different levels of education, there yet exists a notable challenge in schooling two specific categories of children.
