Applicants are invited to pursue studies at the above named Centre for the academic year 2019/2020 commencing September 2019.

Electrical Installation Full – Time/ Evening
Metal Work Engineering Full – Time/ Evening
Plumbing Full – Time/ Evening
Welding Full – Time/ Evening
Motor Vehicle Repairs Full – Time/ Evening
Data Operations Full – Time/ Evening


1. Applicants must be at least fifteen (15) years nine months of age to register for the full-time programmes, and at least eighteen (18) years to register for Evening Programmes.

2. Applicants must have completed SCCP Advance Level or equivalent qualification (CXC qualification). Evidence of successful completion of grade 10 (form 4) is accepted.

3. Completed application forms must be accompanied with a copy of your birth certificate and two (2) passport sized photographs and must reach the Administrator on or before 31st May, 2019.

Application forms may be uplifted from the Guyana Industrial Training Centre (Administrative office) between 9:00 and 16:00 hrs Mondays to Thursdays and from 9:00hrs to 15:00hrs on Fridays.

The Guyana Industrial Training Centre (GITC) today hosted a Career Day to mark its 50th Anniversary. It was an opportunity for the training centre to showcase some of the skills that young people can acquire at the centre.

The training centre will be celebrating 50 years on December 14, 2016 and the theme for this year’s celebration is, ‘Development and Transformation for the 21st Century Workforce”.news 20161027 3
