Health Min. reiterates the importance of drinking water
The Food Policy Division of the Ministry of Health is appealing to the population to observe the weekly its ‘Water Day’ challenge.
Water Day which is observed at the Ministry of Public Health every Wednesday, encourages healthy eating and daily consumption of water as the preferred beverage for the entire day. The importance of the day was underscored at Tuesday’s launch of a Nutrition for Dietary Assistant Programme, at the Carnegie School of Home Economics, by Nutritionist, Jillian Trim.

…as Carnegie celebrates 85th Anniversary
The Carnegie School of Home Economics (CSHE) has added a new programme to those offered by the institution. This is being done as the school is celebrating 85 years of offering quality education to Guyanese.
It is the Nutrition for Dietary Assistant Programme. According to Principal (ag) Ms. Myrna Lee, the initiative to offer the programme at Carnegie was the brainchild of outgoing Principal, Ms. Penelope Harris.
400 graduated from Carnegie’s evening programme
About four hundred students yesterday graduated from the Carnegie School of Home Economics’ evening programme.
