NGSA students confident of their performance

news 20180329 4Students who wrote the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) yesterday, March 28, and today March 29, are confident about their performance in the examination.

Kieshona David, a student of FE Pollard Primary School, told the Department of Public Information (DPI) “the examination was…so exciting…it was like the easy mock exams we had in class, [ I think I’m getting] QC.”

Also from FE Pollard Primary School, Nikesha Fraser, explained that “Social Studies and Maths was the easiest subjects [for me].”

Jolisa Lavelle, a Rama Krishna Primary school student said “I thought the exam was very easy, but first I thought it was very hard. I was scared but now I’m not because it’s all over and I’ll get to fly my kite for Easter. I’m expecting really good results.”

Minister of Education, Nicolette Henry and Chief Education Officer, Marcel Hutson yesterday visited a few city schools to ensure all measures were in place and encouraged students to give of their best. Earlier this afternoon, the Minister returned to several schools and treated the students to kites.

Headmistress of the Rama Krishna Primary School, Melanie Cornette congratulated the minister on the initiative. “I’m thankful for the support you’ve given to the children and I’m sure that it has impacted them a lot.”
