Education Department and Health Services benefit from furniture

Food for the Poor Guyana Inc. has once again taken up the mantle of ensuring that several departments providing public services are fully equipped. A variety of furniture was supplied to the Region Six Education Department together with the Regional Health Services by Food for the 20170705 1

This was made possible through its regional representative, Alex Foster, whom over the years has dedicated his services and time to the development of the region and its people.
He explained at the simple handing over in New Amsterdam the supplies will be distributed to the various locations so that it can be utilized to enhance their services.
The Education Department, represented by the Regional Education Officer Voloika Jaikishun gave thanks to Food for the Poor and to Foster for their contribution. “We promise to put into good use, the children will benefit from it”.
Director of Health Services, Jevaughn Stephens, on behalf of his section of the public sector Berbice expressed gratitude and also promised to utilize the furniture for its intended purpose. He also encouraged Foster to continue supporting them as they have done.
Fifty chest of drawers, 50 book cases, 82 desks, 70 single chairs and 80 beds were donated.
This has been one of the many donations executed by Food for the Poor within Region Six with many persons benefiting tremendously. Over $60 Million in medical supplies were previously handed over to the health services.
