The Education Ministry, the Public Service Ministry and the Private Sector Commission on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will allow for businesses and the public sector to accept the certificates from thousands of Guyanese who have completed the Commonwealth of Learning and Coursera workforce recovery programme.
The Education Ministry has announced that more than 5000 public and private school teachers have registered and 1700 are currently engaged in its training to deliver online learning.
As students and parents express concerns over the CSEC/CAPE results, Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly has assured that her ministry will take all required steps to ensure that the issue is adequately addressed.
Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Santia Bradshaw, has called on the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) to conduct an “urgent investigation” into concerns over the recently released CAPE and CSEC examination results.
