Trained Teachers are invited to submit applications to pursue one of the following courses during the periods July 18 - 24, 2016 and July 25 - 29, 2016 which will be held throughout the country. Teachers from Regions 3, 4, 5 and Georgetown will pursue courses at NCERD, and other teachers in their respective regions.

Through an integrated training programme, the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is seeking to sensitise heads and seniors of post-secondary institutions across the country about the importance of giving persons with special needs the opportunity for tertiary education.The programme commenced on Thursday at the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD), and participants were introduced to disability awareness in its entirety as it relates to the legal framework, and to understanding disability and disability etiquette.

NCERD: The lynchpin of the education system

Thirty years and continuously moving from strength to strength, the National Centre for Education Resource Development (NCERD) has been described by Chief Education Officer, Mr. Olato Sam as the engine that drives the education system. And, noting that NCERD has been blessed with tremendous human capital, Mr. Sam posited that the education system cannot progress unless NCERD causes it to do so.
