Parents on Monday expressed gratitude to the government for extending the ‘Because We Care’ cash grant initiative to private school students.
Parents of students attending private schools in Guyana have lauded the decision by His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali to extend the “Because We Care” cash grant initiative to their children.
The announcement came from the President's office this afternoon and will be welcomed by parents of children in private schools who had voiced their concern publicly about the grant for children only being made available to public school children.
Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal, MP, has called on parents and guardians of Kamana and other Region Eight villages to use the ‘Because We Care’ cash grant for the development of their children.
Close to 150 school children of Chenapau, Region Eight have benefitted from the Government’s ‘Because We Care’ cash grant initiative.
