The talents of nursery school pupils, teachers and stakeholders were showcased in the form of song, dance and skit at a grand concert held today, at the Police Officers’ Mess, Eve Leary.
The concert is the third in a series of events staged by the Ministry of Education as part of Education Month activities, and to mark 40 years of development in Early Childhood/Nursery Education in Guyana.
Teachers of the Waterloo Nursery School, Region Five and the Auchlyne Primary School, Corentyne, Berbice, Region Six were urged to encourage children to love school by creating a comfortable and conducive environment.

The Board of Industrial Training (BIT) of the Ministry of Social Protection has for the first time; ventured into Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni). The Board started its operation in 2005.
Working in collaboration with the Region Eight, Regional Democratic Council, BIT is currently providing its Heavy Duty Equipment Operator (HDEO) Programme to 27 males and four females in the region.
