Today the High Commissioner of Canada to Guyana paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Minister of Education Priya Manickchand.
Also participating in the meeting from the Canadian High Commission were Ms. Janine Cocker, Counsellor (Development), Mr. Jake Thomas, Senior Trade Commissioner and Counsellor (Commercial), Ms. Kalima Ali-Jagnarine, Development Officer and Education Lead in the Development Section and Ms. Kelly Chin, Trade Assistant and Education Lead in the Trade Section.
Joining the meeting from the Ministry of Education were Mr. Alfred King, Permanent Secretary, Dr. Marcel Hutson, Chief Education Officer and Ms. Nicola Johnson, Chief Planning Officer.
Among other issues, discussions were held concerning collaboration to provide training opportunities to Guyanese in various areas.
