To the teachers who graduated yesterday, warmest congratulations and God’s richest blessings. The highest service to God is service to man and there is little else more noble than teaching a nation’s children.
What Guyana looks like now and in the future depends on how you teach, what you do, how you apply yourself. So go forth and use your learning and skill to make Guyana the place we know she can be. Be the teacher you would want in front of your own child’s classroom. Be the teacher in whose classroom parents clamour to have their children. And throughout this journey know that you will always have my love and support
