The Honourable Minister of Education Priya Manickchand is currently meeting with non-resident students of President's College and their parents to look at opportunities for agreeing on measures that will ensure the safety and wellness of the students.

The Ministry of Education through Minister Manickchand is proposing that during this time that non-resident students become resident students and be tested for the Coronavirus. This is to ensure that there isn’t any spread of the virus among the students because of students going in and out of the college on a daily basis. This arrangement is not a permanent one but only to address the current situation (pandemic) that is facing the country and the world.
Non-resident students who do not want to become temporary resident students can be educated at this time at a secondary school closest to their homes. The meeting is ongoing and parents are proffering their views on the matter. A decision will be forthcoming at the end of the meeting.
