• UNESCO hands over new steel pans to St. John Bosco Orphanage

    The United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) donated new chrome plated steel pan instruments to the boys of the St. John Bosco Orphanage in Plaisance on the East Coast of Demerara. 

  • UNESCO Young Professionals Programme 2015

    UNESCO is launching the Young Professionals Programme 2015. Its main objective is to improve the geographical distribution of the Secretariat. It also aims at attracting young talented professionals to the Secretariat at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris.
    Guyana National Commission for UNESCO has been invited to select and submit a maximum of 15 qualified candidatures according to the following criteria:

    The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) and the National Data Management Authority (NDMA) on Friday observed International Literacy Day under the theme “Literacy in a Digital World”, at the South Ruimveldt Park Primary School.
