Students of Wakenaam and Leguan Islands, Region Three, will now be able to travel to school in comfort and their parents will be relieved of transportation costs, following the handing over on Saturday of school buses valued close to $10 million.

Over 97% of parents in Region Two uplifted the Government of Guyana’s Because We Care Cash Grant during a three-day rollout of the programme in the region that started on Wednesday and concluded today.
Students of Fly Hill, Rupertee and Pai Pang villages in Region Nine will now be able to easily access primary education, following the commissioning of three schools in the villages.
