YIPoG 2018 – unleashing youth innovation

news 20180414 7With the launch of Youth Innovation Project of Guyana (YIPoG) 2018, young people are being afforded the opportunity to propose solutions to address issues in their communities through Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, Anthropology, Archeology, Arts, Mathematics and Spirituality also known as STEAMS.

– Registration ongoing, startup Capital available

The Department of Social Cohesion, Culture, Youth and Sport will be hosting its inaugural Guyana Youth Business Summit on May 23-24, 2018 at the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, Georgetown.
The two-day summit, which will run from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, is geared at encouraging entrepreneurship among Guyana’s Youth population, so as to significantly reduce the country’s unemployment figures.

news 20171009 5Members of the executive team of the Innovation Programme of Guyana (IPoG) formerly YIPoG met on Monday in the Ministry of Education's Boardroom to make arrangements for final disbursements of funds. These funds are part of President David Granger's $50M initiative to promote innovative solutions to community challenges in all ten of the administrative regions.
