news 20171026 1Today Minister of Education, Hon Nicolette Henry MP and Minister of Social Cohesion George Norton; met with senior officials from the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Guyana Teachers Union (GTU).
The meeting that was held in the MOE Boardroom on Brickdam, was also attended by the Director of Sports Christopher Jones. It addressed the planning of the 57th MOE and GTU National Schools Championships to be held at the National Track and Fields Centre (NTFC) at Leonora.

During her brief stay, a number of meetings will be scheduled to discuss ways of optimizing student housing at the University of Guyana.

Hon. Nicolette Henry, Minister of Education today met with the various headteachers of the Georgetown Education District to discuss matters relating to education.
Prior to the meeting, Minister Henry sat in on some RDI radio lesson sessions that focussed on the land of numbers.
Following which Minister Henry spoke of expectations for the new school year among other things.
