The University of Guyana has seen a number of upgrades throughout the years, with the most recent project being the unveiling of a new building which will serve as the Campus’ Registry.
From all indications, the Ministry of Education will be putting deliberate measures in place to ensure that Allied Arts, in schools across the country, is given keen attention.
According to the United Nations, there is evidence to show that school feeding programmes enhance enrollment in school and better educational outcomes. It was with this in mind that moves were made by Government, through the Ministry of Education, to expand its school feeding programme in the hinterland.
After months of dedication and schooling, 111 youths have successfully passed the National Training Programme for Youth Empowerment (NTPYE) which was facilitated by the Board of Industrial Training (BIT) in collaboration with the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) centre in Port Mourant.
