Invitation for Bids (IFB 19/2017)

Cooperative Republic of Guyana

1. The Ministry of Education invites sealed bids from Reputable suppliers/service providers for the following items:

1. Rehabilitation of Christianburg/Wismar Secondary School-Linden                                         Estimate-99.7M
2. Construction of North Stand-Basketball Court- Bartica Community Centre-                           Estimate-26M
3. Construction of Warm Up Track- Leonora Synthetic Track-Phase 1                                       Estimate-14M
4. Rewiring of Building Phase 4-National Cultural Centre -                                                         Estimate-12.8M
5. Construction of New Concrete and Stainless Steel Railing Fence-National Cultural Centre  Estimate 10.9
6. Supply and Delivery of Cooked Meals- Cyril Potter College of Education

2. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures, specified in the Procurement Act, 2003 and Regulations, 2004, and is open to all eligible Suppliers.

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Procurement Unit, Ministry of Education, Lot 21 Brickdam, Stabroek, telephone number 223-7900 Ext 269. An inspection of the Bidding Document can be conducted at the above address between the hours of 8:30 to 4:00 hours on week days.

4. Bid Security is required for the projects list above.

5. All bids must be accompanied by Valid NIS and GRA Compliance Certificates.

6. The Tender document may be purchased from the Ministry of Education, Lot 21 Brickdam, Stabroek for a non-refundable fee of three thousand, five hundred dollars ($3,500). The method of payment accepted will be cash.

7. The tender must be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope bearing no identity of the Tenderer and must be clearly marked on the top, left hand corner “Tender for (Supply and Delivery or Construction or Rehabilitation) – MOE. No electronic bidding will be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.

8. All bidders are required to attend a “pre-bid” meeting on the 1st and 8th November, 2017 at 14:00hrs in the Ministry‘s boardroom located at Lot 26 Brickdam Stabroek.

9. All tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 9:00 on Tuesday 14th November, 2017. All bids will be opened in the presence of the supplier(s) or their representative(s) who choose to attend.
